LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 13, 2012) — The 2011 National Champion Inglewood Blackhawks kick off the 2012 LCFL season this weekend when they host the Temecula based Valley Predators at 7:00 pm at Jackie Robinson Stadium.  The Blackhawks come into the game sporting a 5-0 preseason record where they averaged 44.0 ppg.  The big story of this weekends match-up will be the Blackhawks attempting to break the league record for consecutive wins at 28.  The Blackhawks are currently on a 27 game winning streak dating back over two years to October 2, 2010.  With a win this Saturday over the Predators, the Blackhawks will eclipse the record currently held by them and the North County Cobras.  “Breaking the record this weekend will be monumental for our program” stated Blackhawk head coach, Tony Reid.  Reid has led the Blackhawks to a record of 154-30-0 which is the highest win total in Southern California by any minor league coach.  We work very hard year in and year out to be a dominant team and with doing that, the wins have come along with it.  But in the meantime, our focus is not on consecutive wins but winning one game at a time going for a 3-peat in the LCFL.
